Snippets of a human puzzle. People learn more when they consume in tidbits, so that was our creative strategy: use old photos with new colors, and sprinkle them with intriguing clues that would eventually lead to one, awesome finale. We created a brochure that made people feel like the hunt was worth it: If you came to Oklahoma to map your genetic history, you would be rewarded with a fascinating glimpse into the story of you.
Beyond its stunning look and feel, the brochure contained a curated list of research centers and helpful information. To drive traffic, it pointed to the genealogy page on TravelOK.com/Genealogy for more information.
The brochure caused reactions. The genealogy page on OTRD’s website was viewed more than 85,000 times and the brochure was reprinted five times in just two years. And it’s still going. Looks like there’s a big future in the past.
